This is also new IELTS EXAM format.
The world’s most popular high-stakes English language test for work, study and migration can now be taken on computer.
How is computer-delivered IELTS different?
You will take the Listening, Reading and Writing components using a computer but the speaking test will be conducted with a live examiner which is completely equivalent to Paper based test. All aspects of the test are identical to the paper-based IELTS test, including:
- Question types
- Content
- Timings
- Marking

*In the IELTS on computer Listening test, the timings are slightly different from IELTS on paper. This is because IELTS on paper requires users to transfer answers to an answer sheet. - Before the start of each part of the Listening test you will have some time to read the questions.
- After the end of each part of the Listening test you will have some time to review your answers.
- At the end of the Listening test, you will have 2 minutes to check your answers.
It is important that you choose the right option so that you feel comfortable and confident when you take the test. You need to decide whether you prefer to read the texts and write your answers on a computer, or on paper.
